Public disruptions were kept to a minimum by Universal Underground in a recent watermain installation in New Zealand.
The company installed 1.6km of 560PE watermain and, after completing that stretch, took a 18° turn of the rig for another 400m pipe pullback.
“By installing longer pipe strings we minimising in-ground pipe joins, we not only ensure a smoother installation process but also lessen disruptions to the businesses,” said co-founder Neil Vanner.
A drone was used to capture stunning footage of the project.
