Garney’s James River Crossing documentary is now live, showcasing the story of a major horizontal directional drilling job.
This short film tells the story behind the 5,700-foot pullback of 42-inch HDPE pipe beneath the James River, Virginia, in a record-setting milestone for Hampton Roads Sanitation District’s (HRSD) SWIFT (Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow) program.
From start to finish, ‘Crossing the James River’ offers a behind-the-scenes look at this historic project with Dewberry, Brierley Associates Corporation, Seaward Marine Corporation, and Huxted Trenchless, a JAG Company.
Brownline Global Commercial Director Arno van Mourik said he was proud to be a part of the high quality project.
“Our team at Brownline played a crucial role in steering the pilothole bore using world’s most advanced gyro steering tool to successfully achieve the mid-river intersect – a key milestone in this complex HDD crossing,” he said.
“A great example of precision, technology, and teamwork coming together.”
