Joseph Gallagher Limited has completed trenchless installation works in Trimpley, England, as part of a significant water infrastructure upgrade for Severn Trent.
Working on behalf of Coffey, the team installed 1882m of pipeline across six horizontal directional drilling (HDD) locations to support a new resilience pipeline designed to secure long-term water supply in the region.
The route covered varied ground conditions, including gravel, sandstone and coal seams.
One of the key sections of the project involved a 660m HDD crossing at Gun Hill, where the pipeline was successfully pulled into place in just seven hours.
