A region in Canada has provided a fascinating insight to what it would be like to travel down into a 33.5m (110ft) deep tunnel shaft.
Shared by Region of Peel project manager Nicole Sartor, the trip underground shows off the tunnelling shaft on the north-east corner of Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard in Brampton, a city Ontario’s greater Toronto area.
The shaft, approximately 23m (75ft) wide and 33.5m (110ft) deep, is part of a project with contractors C&M McNally Tunnel Constructors.
The Region of Peel delivers social services and infrastructure to 1.5 million residents and more than 175,000 businesses in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga.
