The global trenchless industry will have new insight and experience from a diverse range of countries to help shape its future direction after new appointments to its peak body.
The ISTT has announced Mark André Haebler (AATT,) from Austria will take up the role as the new Chair of the Society after an International Council Meeting in Vancouver.
The meeting brought together representatives from 18 Affiliated Societies around the world as part of the ISTT global conference held in the Canadian city in Octobre
Carlos Andres Munera (LAMSTT, Latin America) was appointed the new Vice Chair of ISTT.
The ISTT also extended its gratitude to the outgoing chair Keh-Jian (Albert) Shou (CTSTT, Taiwan) for his outstanding leadership and dedicated service.
It also celebrated the contribution of Jari Kaukonen (FiSTT) from Finland who has completed his term on the ISTT Board of Directors.
“As Past Chair, Jari made remarkable contributions to the ISTT community, notably leading the successful International No-Dig 2022 in Helsinki during the challenging COVID-19 period, “the ISTT said.
“His steady leadership and commitment helped ensure the event’s success in uncertain times.
The meeting also welcomed new members to the ISTT Board of Directors including Wing Chang (CHKSTT) from Hong Kong, who was re-elected for a second term and new board member Börje Persson (MATT,) from Malaysia.
