Dutch company Van Leeuwen Sleufloze Technieken (VLST) has announced a major project for the landfall of a future offshore wind farm, promoting a strong, sustainable future.
The project, set to start in 2026, will involve VLST executing three long directional drillings from the Dutch coast towards the sea.
“This marks a significant step in our growth towards becoming an independent contractor for large-scale landfall projects,” VLST said in a statement on LinkedIn.
“What makes this even more special is that, for the first time, we are working directly for a cable supplier—an important recognition of our expertise and capabilities.
“With this project, we strengthen our position as a key player in nearshore landfall solutions. Onwards to a sustainable future!”
VLST was established by two brothers, Anton and Ries van Leeuwen, in 1969.
One of the first milestones was the development of a drilling machine capable of horizontal drilling, in 1979. The brothers executed their first trenchless drilling project back in 1988.
