When 28th International Trenchless Technology Conference (ITTC) was held at the Suzhou International Expo Centre in China from 23–25 April, it brought together professionals from across the global trenchless industry.
The event opened with speeches from prominent figures including Professor Hu Yuanbiao, International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) chairman Professor Keh-Jian Shou, and ISTT board member Ian Ramsay.
Held annually in April, ITTC is a key event in the trenchless calendar. This year’s edition attracted 8122 visitors in-person, including 3931 professionals from 26 countries and regions, as well as all 34 Chinese provinces and territories.
In addition, 158 delegates attended the technical seminar, and more than 31,000 people engaged with the event’s live stream.
The three-day event featured 16 technical presentations by leading domestic and international organisations, covering topics such as horizontal directional drilling (HDD) innovation, double-hole pipe jacking for subway construction, trenchless developments in Japan and Europe, and the future of electrically driven drilling systems.
Spanning over 20,000 m², the exhibition welcomed 124 companies, 30 of which were first-time participants.
Beyond the exhibition and seminars, attendees participated in new product launches and an industry awards dinner, making ITTC 2025 a vibrant hub for knowledge-sharing, networking and business development.
Looking ahead, the 29th ITTC will take place from 22–24 April 2026 at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre in Tianjin.
