Flow-Liner has completed a leak repair in rapid time at the Pentagon in Arlington County, Viriginia.
The Pentagon is the headquarters building of the United States Department of Defense, in Arlington County, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C.
Even minor infrastructure failures can pose major challenges in such a critical – and secure – facility.
Pentagon personnel reached out to a certified Flow-Liner Installer to address a persistent leak in a cast-iron roof drain. The three-inch (7.62cm) vertical drain pipe, located above occupied office space, featured three 90° bends within the first seven feet (2.13m), making traditional replacement costly, invasive and disruptive.
Using Flow-Liner’s Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining technology, the installer was able to rehabilitate the line without excavation, demolition or interruption to building operations.
“Our advanced liner system, combined with a specialised installation method, allowed precise navigation through multiple tight bends,” Flow-Liner said in a statement.
“The entire repair was completed in just one day, restoring functionality while preserving the integrity and daily operations of one of the most secure and active buildings in the world.”
