The No Dig Alliance has added another notch to its belt, acquiring Finnish company Nordbos Oy in a merger with its existing Finnish subsidiary Savon Suuntaporaus Oy.
The new entity will operate under the name Riggtech Finland Oy, becoming part of the leading Riggtech brand in directional drilling technology.
Former Nordbos chief executive, and newly appointed Riggtech Finland chief executive, Pietari Viitanen said he is thrilled to join the alliance.
“The brand is widely recognised in Sweden and Norway for its professional and reliable operations,” he said.
“One of the greatest advantages of becoming part of Riggtech is the ability to increase utilisation of our equipment across borders. Sharing resources between countries gives us a stronger foundation for growth.”
The merger brings together two experienced players in the Finnish trenchless technology sector and marks a strategic expansion of Riggtech’s operations in the Nordic region.
With extensive industry experience and a wide range of drilling equipment, the new company will be well positioned to support domestic and cross-border infrastructure projects.
The combined operations of Nordbos Oy and Savon Suuntaporaus Oy will now operate fully under the Riggtech name, Sweden’s leading specialist in directional drilling technology. Since its foundation in 2010, Riggtech has grown steadily and today has a strong presence in Sweden and Norway.
Riggtech chief executive Johan Lundqvist said there is tremendous potential in merging the technical expertise and local knowledge of both companies.
“Through this merger and the establishment of Riggtech Finland, we are reinforcing our commitment to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-performance no dig solutions throughout the Nordic region,” he said.
