OptionX Group has announced the appointment of Adam Ibrahim as its new Managing Director. With a distinguished 30-year career in tunnelling, utilities, trenchless solutions, and business development across Australia and the Middle East, Adam brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision to the Group’s leadership team.
Ibrahim’s background in mechanical engineering and management has seen him lead multiple companies specialising in tunnelling, consultancy, training, and digital solutions. His expertise encompasses project management, corporate strategy, and financial oversight, with a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, and technological innovation.
The Middle East is currently experiencing a surge in infrastructure development, presenting significant opportunities for growth in the trenchless technology sector. Ibrahim’s deep understanding of the region’s market dynamics and his established network make him ideally positioned to spearhead OptionX Group’s expansion into this burgeoning market.
One of the key technologies leading this expansion is OptionX Group’s AdaptX microtunnelling system.
Designed to handle the most challenging ground conditions, including rock and consolidated soils, AdaptX is uniquely suited to the diverse geological and urban environments of the Middle East.
Its compact footprint, modularity, and vacuum extraction capabilities offer a cleaner, faster, and more accurate solution for pipeline installations—especially in areas where traditional open cut methods are impractical.
OptionX Group is already in discussions with several strategic partners across the region to bring AdaptX to large-scale infrastructure projects.
“I’m excited to join OptionX Group at such a pivotal time,” Ibrahim said. “The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence aligns perfectly with my vision for advancing trenchless solutions. I look forward to driving our global strategy and establishing a strong presence in the Middle East.”
OptionX Group CEO Stuart Harrison said he was confident with the appointment.
“Adam’s extensive experience and leadership in the industry are invaluable assets. His appointment marks a significant step in our global expansion strategy, particularly as we focus on the Middle East’s dynamic infrastructure landscape,” Harrison said.
